Garage door rails installation.

Hook the garage door spring onto door track. Screw on the top hinges and rollers. Connect vertical track sections to horizontal sections with curved corner tracks. The installation process varies by manufacturer so read the instructions provided with the garage door. Slide one of the vertical rails on the wound. Attach hinges to the top of each panel image 2.

Door to ceiling clearance may be different than headroom if hold door sections in mounting position. Make sure the distance between the top of the door and the rail on both sides are equal. Lower the door and dismantle it by removing the hardware. If you want to install new horizontal and vertical rails for the doors of your garage you do not need the help of a professional. Check to ensure track is parallel to the door then screw the track to the wall framing. Lower a double door by recruiting at least two helpers to help with the weight and place a 2 4 block under the door to prevent smashing a foot or finger when it s lowered.

Remove the sections one at a time by disconnecting the rollers and brackets. Installing an overhead garage door requires a few tools and a friend to help. 2 or 3 garage door track systems or replacement parts for bracket clip angle or full angle mounted designs. Adjust the track to ensure door fits without rubbing then tighten lag screws with ratchet wrench.

Install the third door panel in a similar manner. First the lower door panel needs to be set up in the center of the doorway.
